China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, as confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun. During a routine press conference on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that both nations are in ongoing communication regarding border issues and are committed to executing agreements made in the previous round of discussions.

Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi for the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. In the course of his visit, Wang had a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, underscoring the significance of maintaining dialogue between the two countries.

Guo emphasized that the overall situation along the China-India border remains stable, with communication channels between the two sides functioning effectively. This stability is attributed to the active implementation of the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary talks.

The forthcoming discussions are anticipated to further the efforts of managing border disputes and ensuring peace and stability along the shared frontier. Both countries appear focused on sustaining the dialogue and cooperation necessary to address boundary-related challenges.
